Your stuff stays yours.

This policy covers the Heist Buddy app (web app and iOS app) and heistbuddy.com, made by Steamline Labs LLC (“we”, “us”). Heist Buddy is an unofficial companion app for GTA VI players.

Short version

• No accounts. Your sessions, pins, plans and notes are saved only on your device.
• We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use ad trackers or third-party analytics.
• We only get your email if you choose to join the launch list.

Data stored on your device

Version 1 of Heist Buddy is local-only. Checklists, map pins, heist plans, cash logs and settings live in your browser or app storage on your device. We can’t see them. If you clear your browser data or delete the app, they are gone. Your Pro license key is also stored on your device.

Pro purchases

Pro is unlocked with a license key. Purchases on the web are processed by Stripe, and purchases inside the iOS app are processed by Apple. They handle your payment details under their own privacy policies (Stripe, Apple). We never see or store your card number. We receive basic order details (such as the email you entered, the amount and the license key issued) so we can deliver and restore your key.

Launch list (optional email)

If you enter your email in a “notify me” form, it is stored in Cloudflare KV along with the time, the page you signed up from, the referring page, and your IP address (used to prevent spam and abuse). We use it only to email you about the Heist Buddy launch, Pro, and crew-finder announcements. We don’t sell or share it. To unsubscribe or have your email deleted, open heistbuddy.com/unsubscribe, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to support@heistbuddy.com.

Scan a Spot

When you use Scan a Spot, the images you pick are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to identify the location, and the result is sent back to your device. We don’t store your images, and they are not used to train AI models. To enforce the free daily scan limit, we may keep a short-lived counter tied to your device or IP address.

Hosting and logs

Our site and app are hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We don’t use cookies for advertising or tracking.

Children

Heist Buddy is not directed at children under 13, and GTA VI is rated M (Mature 17+). We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child gave us their email, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access or delete any personal data we hold about you (in practice, your launch-list email or purchase record) by emailing support@heistbuddy.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and we will honor them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above. Big changes, such as adding accounts or online features, will be announced in the app.
